It is 1923. Istanbul is under occupation from the Allied forces after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. The old city is once again flooded with refugees from Russia and the Balkans  and a beastly  tension has been rising between the Turks on one side and  the occupation forces and their allies ,mainly greeks from Istanbul on the other  side. The allied forces are increasingly feeling  pressure from the Kemalist army in Ankara and politicians in London.

The beautiful, bold and puckish daughter of the commander of the Allied forces, a  passionate  Suffragette,  falls in love with a handsome Turkish man.Their love faces the fierce opposition of her father.

An impossible romance between an English girl and a Turk…..

A love story  ornamented with the legends and glamour  of  Istanbul…..
